Netscape Email Setup Instructions
|
- In Netscape Navigator, look
under the Options pull-down menu and choose Mail
and News Preferences.
- Click on the tab named Servers.
Change the Incoming Mail (POP3) setting to mail.mydomain.com
and Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server setting to mail.mydomain.com.
- Type your user name below the server names. Your username is your full email address with a % sign instead of an @ sign. For instance if your email address was user@mydomain.com then you would type in user%mydomain.com
- Then click on the Identity tab at
the top and make sure your email address is your username@mydomain.com.
You may also set your Reply-To Address to your
username@mydomain.com, or simply leave it blank. This is the
email address that your recipient will see when he/she replies
to your email message.
- If you own an alias and a
domain, (for instance, yourname@yourdomain.com) you may put this
address in the Reply To field. However, in order to retrieve
your Web Doodle email, you MUST enter your
username@mydomain.com in the Email Address box.
- When you are finished, click on
the OK button at the bottom of the window. Note: If you
are using Netscape 4.0 and above, you can get to these same
settings by clicking on Preferences under the Edit
menu.
