Netscape Email Setup Instructions

  1. In Netscape Navigator, look under the Options pull-down menu and choose Mail and News Preferences.
  2. Click on the tab named Servers. Change the Incoming Mail (POP3) setting to mail.mydomain.com and Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server setting to mail.mydomain.com.
  3. Type your user name below the server names. Your username is your full email address with a % sign instead of an @ sign. For instance if your email address was user@mydomain.com then you would type in user%mydomain.com
  4. Then click on the Identity tab at the top and make sure your email address is your username@mydomain.com. You may also set your Reply-To Address to your username@mydomain.com, or simply leave it blank. This is the email address that your recipient will see when he/she replies to your email message.
  5. If you own an alias and a domain, (for instance, yourname@yourdomain.com) you may put this address in the Reply To field. However, in order to retrieve your Web Doodle email, you MUST enter your username@mydomain.com in the Email Address box.
  6. When you are finished, click on the OK button at the bottom of the window.  Note: If you are using Netscape 4.0 and above, you can get to these same settings by clicking on Preferences under the Edit menu.
